FOHP Purple Crocus planting 2019

Purple4Polio and a Litter Pick on Thursday 7th November 2019. We all met on a sunny Thursday morning at the Cafe in the park at 10.00am with our gloves and trowels.

Thank you to everyone who participated and also to Brighton & Hove Soiree Rotary Club for providing us with 4000 purple crocus bulbs. ‘Helping to eliminate polio from the world.’

Rotary clubs help to plant millions of purple crocuses every year to raise awareness of the efforts being made worldwide to end polio.

Volunteers

Purple Power

The crocus was chosen as the the purple colour matched the dye on the fingers of children who had been immunised.

Planting

The coucil employed gardener supervised the planting.
